The BOA Fuel Lock is manufactured in Las Vegas, Nevada, and fabrication of our locks is all done in-house. We use a state-of-the-art Mitsubishi laser cutting machine that cuts accurately up to 1/1000th of an inch, ensuring each piece is manufactured precisely as designed. We employ a team of welders, fabricators, and support staff to assemble and ship the final product.

But it’s not metal and machinery that makes us a quality company, it is our people. We adhere to a core set of beliefs and take pride in the work we do. BOA Fuel Locks IS people, people characterized by integrity, honesty, leadership, and an endless commitment to personal and professional development. Our mission is to treat our Customers in a courteous, friendly, and ethical manner with a passion to understand and serve their needs.

The BOA Fuel Lock was developed out of necessity. During the early part of 2008, we were experiencing a significant amount of fuel theft. In fact, we were getting hit by fuel thieves about once a week. In total, between April 2008 and July 2008, we determined we had 2,500 gallons of diesel fuel stolen. That calculates out to $10,000 worth of stolen fuel (at the time diesel averaged $4.00 per gallon). We also calculated that we lost approximately $6,800 in crew down time and refueling costs. That means in four months time, we lost almost $16,800 due to fuel theft.

With forty-five pieces of off road equipment (Backhoes, Excavators, Loaders, Trenchers) holding from 25 to 300 gallons per tank, combined with the fact that our equipment was unprotected out on job sites spread all over town at night, we were a perfect target. We decided that something had to be done immediately. We needed to do this to protect our company assets. Since installing the BOA Fuel Locks we have not had any fuel stolen. The BOA has been a great deterrent making the thieves go elsewhere. It has paid off!
